On June 23 Eurosib held a presentation of a new warehousing facility in the port of Vyborg. The facility is aimed at ensuring better logistics for Svetogorsk mill, International Paper.
The warehouse is 856 square meters, 2 thousand tons storage capacity. Despite the seeming lightness of the construction, the warehouse is designed to withstand winter snow and storms. The width and height of the gate - 4 m - allows working with large loading equipment.
The facility is constructed for the purpose of storing pulp produced by Svetogorsk mill. Pulp is exported to Poland via the port of Vyborg. The area not demanded to handle Svetogorsk volumes will be used for storage of other clients' cargoes.
The Svetogorsk mill for the production capacity makes 18 tons of cellulose per month. Yet production is constrained by the limitations of the existing transport infrastructure and, consequently, high transport costs. the new warehousing facility will allow increase the volume of export of cellulose via the port of Vyborg two-fold.
